Meet Caroline - A Pro Dog Trainer

Why Game-Based Training?

During my time training to be a Puppy School Tutor I came across an advert for a recall video called Leash off Game On.

I am a sucker for a freebie or discount so I ordered it. That started my obsession with Absolute Dogs. I looked at more of their training programs and started with their Training Academy Programme, it really is the Netflix of the training world (you can buy this from me directly as its membership only opens a few times a year). Once I did that for a while I decided in 2020 to do their Pro Dog Training Programme and in 2021 I followed this on with their Geek course all about behaviour.

What I love about being a PDT (Pro Dog Trainer) is that we are training our dogs through games that are no longer than 2-3 minutes long, so it is easy to play a quick game while boiling the kettle, that way you don’t have to stress about a 60-minute training session (which in some cases is too long.)

Not only that we as owners are having a great time, but we are also building a relationship with our dogs built on trust and respect, they are learning to make the right choice.

PDT training covers every training issue you might have. If there is a struggle, there’s a game for that. It helps dogs focus, and learn impulse control, boundaries, optimism, and confidence, plus so much more.

I am someone who is very big on games with my dogs even from a young age games were always part of the training, for me, there is no better relationship than the one you have with your dog(s). That bond is paramount for me and that is what I want to do for you. Help build a stronger and better relationship with you and your dog.

It can be hard sometimes training I understand that, we get frustrated if something isn’t working out if your dog has a behaviour problem or you have a puppy that you just can’t get clean or is always chewing.

During my training sessions, we strip it all back and look at the dog in front of us to see what we as the owners are doing and how we can help our dog.
